トミカ『スカイラインレーシングR33』（分類番号40-4-1）とは？
About this Tomica

このベース車両は、言わずもがなの日産スカイラインGTR（R33）のJGTC車両です。
It is obvious that the type of this vehicle is the Nissan Skyline GTR R33 JGTC.

『トミカ徹底大カタログ』では、2000年（平成11年）出版時に10種類のバリエーションがあったことが記録されており、そのうち通常品は2種類と記されています。では、このモデルについて見ていきましょう。This model is the variation number 1 according to “the Tomica Catalogue 2000” book originally published in 2000.

金型違い

書籍には記されていませんが、噂では金型違いが存在すると言われています。しかも、金型違いが複数存在しているらしいので、今すぐにコレクションのモデルを確認してみましょう。
There is no variation stated in the book, however, there might be a few different moulds existed.

まず、給油口の位置と形状です。発売当初は「右上」にありましたが、その後、「中央」に変更されています。しかも、４種類のバリエーション「楕円・長方形・角が丸い長方形（深溝）・角が丸い長方形（浅溝）」が確認できました。
Firstly, the fuel lid. The initial version has fuel lid on the top right, but later versions are the exact centre. Furthermore, there are four different shapes – oval, rectangle, rounded rectangle (deep), and rounded rectangle (shallow).

次に、ウイング形状です。整流翼の形状には「幅広・幅狭」タイプの存在を確認できました。
Next is wing shapes. There are two different endplates shapes – wide and narrow.

タンポ印刷の位置違い

書籍にも記されている通り、ドア下部に印刷されている「NISSAN」文字の位置が「フロント寄り・リア寄り」のバリエーションがあるそうなので確認してみたところ、いやいや、個体別に位置がバラバラでした笑。なので、ざーっくりで良いのかな、と思います。だって、「左ドアはフロント寄り・右ドアはリア寄り」なんていうケースもありましたから。。。
As the book described, there are two patterns. ‘NISSAN’ tampo prints are placed rear end of the doors, or there is a small space.

ということで、書籍の分類番号「40-4-1」もしくは「40-4-6」の二種類以上のバリエーションが確認できました。これをバリエーションと呼ぶか、品質の問題と呼ぶか、それは自由ということで。
So, there are more variations than two !!
